Superbowl (Sunday) Monday
For the SuperBowl, we went to an American sports bar, Red Garter, early to get our tickets. It was kind of tough staying up until almost 4 am to watch but I would've regretted it if I didn't. It cost 7 Euro for a seat and a pint. It was definitely worth it to see an American sports telecast. I was very disappointed to find out that we would not be getting the Superbowl ads through ESPN America. That's okay though, they always have them online the next day anyway. But the commercials are half the reason people watch the Superbowl. We left at halftime to go to the Secret Bakery. It wasn't as difficult to find this time. It could have helped that I only had a pint of beer in my system though. Its also very close to the Red Garter. I ordered a slice of pizza this time. It was the first time I had a slice since arriving in Italy. Every other time the standard is to have a personal pizza pie. The pizza at the secret bakery really wasn't that good. We went back for the second half and managed to stay awake until the game's end. I didn't really care too much who won, I just wanted to see a good game. I ended up rooting for the Colts not only because you have to like Peyton Manning, but also because Vinny and I put 5 Euros on the game. So I ended up paying for both of our burgers and fries. (They do not know how to cook burgers here.) We made sure to ask for them well-done after a girl brought back a very pink, uncooked burger. Ours were nowhere near well done but looked good enough that we wouldn't get sick from them.
