Update: Going to the market is still the only thing we have done today. We just made a beer run. Yes I said beer run, we're getting sick of wine after drinking it every night thus far. We ended up going back to the grocery store and found 2 different types of cheap beer; one for 0,45 Euro and the other for 0,50 Euro. This stuff could be our Natty while overseas. It was such a scene loading our shopping basket with each individual beer can at once. This would be an "Ugly American" moment; I couldn't help laughing. I will admit we are ridiculous. We started talking to a local who saw the whole scene about the "birra". The plan for tonight is to hang out here for a bit and then meet up for a free 3-bar pub-crawl with other American students. It should be fun and we'll get to explore some bars we haven't been to yet.

Lazy Sabato
Its 6 pm and I have hardly done anything all day. Florence is great without classes. This morning (or this afternoon) I woke up at 12:30. I couldn't believe my roommate Jay when he told me what time it was. Those shutters really work! Our room is pitch black without the light on. At least I caught up on sleep. I really needed it too. By the time we got out the door to do some serious shopping its almost 2, meaning the fresh markets were closed. The place we went to today was easier to shop at since it was more of a modern grocery store we were used to. We stocked up on some good stuff for the house but couldn't buy too much since we had to carry it all home. So now we have stuff for the house and we should be set for a few days. The only thing we need to do is go to the fresh market every few days to get fresh fruit and whatnot. Here's a picture of me and my housemate Mike at the grocery store:
