It's Not a Dream; I'm Actually Here

I woke up this morning to my alarm screaming at me. Because of my housemates urging, I set it last night at the club. Since I was the only one with a cell phone (and an alarm) it was up to me to be the responsible one and wake everyone up the next morning for our 9:30 orientation. It was 8:45 but I couldn't believe it since it was still pitch black in our room which faces the street. Shutters in Italy are the real deal and definitely not for decoration like in the States. As soon as I walked out of our room I noticed it might actually be morning since our balcony window boasts some bright sunlight. I continued to wake all my housemates up like a mother getting her kids ready for school.

Anyway last night was fun. After walking a million kilometers to a restaurant and waiting an hour to get a table, we decided to look elsewhere to eat dinner. So my housemates and I walked off with another group of girls to find a place. We settled upon this little place nestled into the corner of a piazza. We were lucky they were still open, it had to be around 9 by then. Most of us ordered some type of pasta and got a few bottles of white wine. We went to our first actual dance club in Italy. I must have left around 1 with one of my housemates. Thank god we easily found our way home since we had barely been in the country for a day.

We had orientation for school today for several hours which was pretty boring. So I guess I have to take classes while I'm here? I finally officially found out we start classes on Monday. I think I fell asleep multiple times during some of the more boring talks. The biggest and best thing of the day was when they announced our 65 lost bags had been sent to the school to pick up. It was great to finally have all my stuff here and be able to shower and change into a new set of clothes. So tonight we planned a party at our place. We bargained 32 bottles of wine for 60 euros from our favorite cornerstore. We'll see where that takes us. Ok its 8 pm and I've hardly eaten anything today. I'm gonna go get some pizza with a few housemates. Arrevederci!
